Skinning the Cat: The Many Options for Arranging Life Insurance Policy Ownership in a Cross Purchase

The main meeting will be held at the Great Hall, 5121 Bay City Road, Midland, Michigan. There is a satellite location available at Isabella Bank, 139 E. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, MI. Lunch will be served at noon, with the program beginning at 12:30 and concluding at 1:30 p.m.
Our speaker is Daniel R. Finn, JD, CLU. Mr. Finn is Director of Northwestern Mutual’s Advanced Planning Division. His program is titled: "Skinning the Cat: The Many Options for Arranging Life Insurance Policy Ownership in a Cross-Purchase." He will cover Buy-Sell Agreements funded with life insurance. He will focus on cross-purchase agreements and the many ways that parties can arrange policy ownership and beneficiary designations (from cross-ownership, to owning on oneself, to trust ownership). He will discuss the estate tax and income tax issues involved, as well as the various pros and cons of each option.
